So sue me. I love candy corn. I also love their cousins, pumpkin cremes. I thought Amelia would never fall asleep last night. When she finally did, I left her and Ray snoozing and went to Winco for the beloved candy that I must eat at this time every year. I had such a sudden hankering for it. Imagine my surprise when I got to the bulk bins and found NO candy corn anywhere. Only their sisters, harvest corn, which for some reason does not appeal to me (candy corn with the brown bottom, not yellow.) They always taste a little stale, and not unlike fake chocolate. So I scraped the bottom of the barrel to get the remainder of the pumpkin cremes, sadly check the pre-bagged candy aisle to make sure there was not candy corn there, and went to pay. Can you believe the entire stock of candy corn in that store was gone?? It tells me one thing and one thing only: while so many joke about candy corn as not being worthy to be an A-list candy, more people like it than will dare admit it.
Are you one of them?

Hi Courtney. I'm excited to find you and see what you're up to! It's also nice to find another candy corn devotee, but I have to disagree with you about the harvest corn. I love that fake chocolate, tootsie rollish flavor.
I hated that you made a special trip and didn't find what you wanted! Candy corn's not on the top of my list, but I don't think it deserves straight-to-the-garbage status. They're good absent minded munching candy, sort of like chips. But they don't taste like chips.
I would send you ours but it's already in the trash. Hope you stopped and got some Ben and Jerry's on the way out of the store.
Court! I bought some yesterday too (our Target actually had some....) and I think of you EVERY time I eat (or see) them!!! I know this sounds crazy and I totally SHOULD have done it yesterday...I always think I should buy you a bag and send it...I have good intentions that's for sure!
I bought some of those in honor of you, but I never intended to send them. I ate some and left the rest for Paige to enjoy. She dumped them in the trash, but Pam rescued them and put them in her hallway candy jar. The corns have had a journey in the name of Courtney.
I just barfed in my own mouth thinking about candy corn.
I like to try one each year to see if I like them any more than I did the last year and then I always remember how much I don't like them. And then I wonder how you could like them enough to actually buy them. But then again, don't be surprised if you see me dipping into the pumpkin cremes, cause well, its sugar and us Wasdens have gotta have our sugar fix.
When are you coming back to us? We miss you.
